Events: Assisi is Calendimaggio

The Calendimaggio 2009 will take place in Assisi 7-9 May 2009.
The Calendimaggio is a spectacular evocation of morals and life medieval and Renaissance architecture. Theater performances, concerts, songs and choruses, dances, parades, exhibitions of archers, crossbowmen and flag-wavers are engaged in a great challenge to the two ancient medieval factions of the Party and Party of Sopra Sotto. The districts in turn, engage in song, in the wealth of floral decorations, flags, flares and torches.





The festival usually takes place the first Thursday, Friday and Saturday is not a public holiday after the first of May.
