RESTAURANT
The restaurant, based on the simple idea of tradition, is a place where the guests of Petrata Castle can enjoy “ gormet wellbeing”. In an elegant environment you can taste traditional Umbrian dishes, the simplicity of which will allow you to emerse yourself in the sensational taste of home made tagliatelle, gnocchi and ravioli, accompanied by local tastes and sauces, you will be able to feed on our grilled meat, or meat roasted in a wood-burning stove, knowingly dressed and marinaded, or taste our starters of Norcia cheeses and salami, or salads, to stimulate the appetite. Both lunch and dinner can be served outdoors (only in the summer season), in front of the view of the Saint Francis basilica and the Umbrian plain, where you will be able to spot, Perugia, Bettona, S. Maria degli Angeli in a varietyof light that will take your breath away. Before dinner you can have an aperatif on our terrace, from which you can enjoy the sight of a once in a lifetime sunset. In the morning you will be welcomed with a smile to enjoy a rich breakfast of home-made cakes and all you need to start the day well. The helpfulness and courtesy of your hosts is evident from the flexibility of the timetable, breakfast is served until 11….( what kind of holiday would it be otherwise?)…dinner until 21:30…and lunch until 14:30…. Don’t worry about your children, we will prepare fresh food for them on a daily bases according to their individual needs. During your stay at the castle, you can’t not allow yourself the special experience of a meal in our restaurant. If, however you want to eat out, we will be only too happy to advise you on the most suitable places for your requirements….a few of the restaurants we recommend are Ristorante San Francesco, Trattoria La Pallotta, Trattoria da Erminio, Feennegan pizza restaurant…all places where we are sure you will be equally able to taste local dishes |
