GROUNDThe Petrata Castle grounds cover an area of 20 hectares; on these grounds you will find: -The garden -The Greeen Solarium - The Orchards and fruit trees, The Olive Grove, The Truffle patch - The wood - the area destined for re-forestation - the lawns - the little lake - The swimmingpool - The solar panels (in a descreat area), used to run the various installations and for the heating of the swimming pool - the zone destined to become a sports area, tennis courts and bowls, archery and crossbow. -The childrens playground; the vitae route with 18 stations, which deliberately runs along the previously mentioned zones, in order to allow guests to enjoy, not only the beauty of the grounds themselves but also the impressive view that can be appreciated from many points of view, overlooking the Umbrian Valley beneath(*); All the various zones are reachable using the many paths and routes already existing and those restored for the use of the hotel and are well-indicated by the relevant sign-posts placed in the grounds. (*) Still in the fase of installation SOLAR PANELS In a descreatly hidden area, the latest in solar panels have been installed in order to supply the energetic needs of the various areas of the Castle and wellness centre, and for the heating of the swimming pool. The special shape of these panels and their position next to a natural cliff, hide them from view, regarding the most important of the views of the castle and the underlying Umbrian Valley, thanks also to the trees, hedges and bushes in the zone. The installation of solar panel guarantees a source of energy that is absolutely clean and renewable, and respects the environment surrounding the castle as well as the guests themselves. |
