GARDEN
The garden is mostly spread around the area around the castle, the pool, the wellness centre and the old stables. The plants bushes and shrubs that have been used are exclusively native and come from the Umbrian Regional Plant Nursery , near the castle and between Spello and Cannara. Most of the essences that you will find are: Maple, Horse chestnut, Mulberry, Oak, Olive, Pomegranite, Parsimon, Walnut, Plum, Holm Oak, Viburnum, Giudas’ Tree, Crabapple, Laurel, Lavander, Pyrocantha, Rosemary, Hawthorn, Broom, climbing plants, Hazel, Holly, Forsythia and various kinds of rose…These essences have joined the pre-existing ones of the same type and made up mainly of elms. The perfume of the lavander, the rosemary, sage, and many other aromas will accompany you during your many walks around the garden in the discovery of secret and atmospheric corners. In the area near the kitchen, aromatic plants such as rosemary, sage, thyme, onion grass, rue etc., have been planted. These aromatic plants are used in the preparation of the many dishes our kitchen has to offer and in particular the bread that is prepared daily by our cook. |
