WOOD

The wood in the Castle Grounds covers a surface of about 5.5 hectares and is made up of tall trees like, oak, holm oak, cedars etc.,as well as various bushes and shrubs. The many footpaths and tracks allow you to discover the charming natural environment, where you can gather mushrooms, wild fruit etc. and where you may be able to spot such animals as hares, pheasants, porcupines, hedgehogs, foxes, squirrels and birds of various kinds, etc.
Near the castle there is a natural elm wood which has been furnished with paths in natural stone, tables and benches, and barbeque equipment so that in spring and summer you can eat outside, grilling your own vegetables and meat supplied by the house.
